Aunt Jenna lives! OK, well, not really. When Klaus killed Aunt Jenna in Season 2, our hearts broke for Elena and Jeremy — after all, she was the only family they had left. But it looks like Aunt Jenna will make a surprising return in The Vampire Diaries’ 100th episode!
ETonline caught up with the TVD cast at the 100th episode celebration in Atlanta on November 9, and star Zach Roerig spilled the beans on Jenna’s return. “You’re going to be very impressed and happy about some of the folks that come back to town,” said Zach. “For example, the girl to my right, the very talented and lovely Sara Canning.”
However, Sara stayed mum on the big surprise. “I can’t say, of course… but it’s really nice. Whatever the reason I’m here [in Atlanta] for, it’s just really nice to be considered part of the family and to be back with this wonderful cast… it’s so nice having everyone back together. It’s pretty surreal.”
Of course, no one is ever really dead on TVD, but shockingly, this would be the first time we’ve seen Aunt Jenna since her death. In Season 3’s epic episode, “Ghost World,” Anna mentions that Jenna found peace in the after-life and therefore, never experienced The Other Side. (If she found her peace with Alaric is still TBD.) So we’re wondering what would bring Jenna back to life. Could TVD be doing an alternative reality episode? Or will there be another flashback to a time when things were much, much simpler?
Have you heard the news, TVD fans? Klaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan) is returning to Mystic Falls!
No, not right now (he has a group of angry vamps to deal with on The Originals first), but he’ll be back sometime in Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries. No news yet on what brings the Original vamp back to town, but we have some theories — some of them even have nothing to do with Caroline!
(But the first one does.) Yeah, we’re still waiting for the resolution — or, more accurately, the continuation — of this most-intriguing relationship. They started out mortal enemies. Then, the villainous Klaus fell for moral beacon-of-light Caroline. She has slowly warmed to his charms (despite his homicidal tendencies), and now the two are friends. When Klaus first visited New Orleans, he called Caroline to tell her how much he wished she was there. And, when the two parted in the TVD Season 4 finale, he told her that — though Tyler may be her first love — he intends to be her last. Now that Forwood has called it quits, will Klaus come back to Mystic Falls to try to persuade Caroline to come to New Orleans? Or, might his Caroline-related return be the result of more dire circumstances? Word on the street is that one TVDer will be abducted in upcoming episodes. If it’s Caroline, we can imagine Klaus storming back into Virginian to rescue the woman he loves. (If she doesn’t rescue herself first.)
If Klaus plans on creating another hybrid army the old-fashioned way, then he needs human doppelganger blood to do it. When Elena turned vamp, Klaus could no longer create hybrids, but now that Katherine is human again, might he be able to use her blood to build another army? Right now, he is more-or-less ally-less in New Orleans, with Marcel’s forces growing stronger everyday. If Klaus still plans on taking over the French Quarter, he’s going to need some help. Though we think the creation of another hybrid army will only end in Klaus’s continued isolation and, therefore, misery, we hope this isn’t the reason for the visit, but it certainly seems in character.
A Katherine-related flashback
The 100th episode of TVD is set to be a smorgasbord of past and present characters in one, epic ep. Though details about the much-anticipated episode are scarce, we know it will be a big episode for Katherine in which we will “learn a lot” about the 500-year-old human-turned-vamp-turned-human-again. As Klaus has been a prominent figure in Katherine’s life, we wouldn’t be surprised (though we would be a tad bit disappointed) if his appearance came in the form of a flashback to her earlier life.
A werewolf bite
Though it hasn’t been much of a plot point in recent episodes of TVD, werewolf bites are fatal to a vampire. The only cure: Klaus’ blood. If, for some reason, one of our TVDers is bitten by a bite, we can imagine Caroline imploring Klaus to return to Mystic Falls to cure on of her BFFs. So, technically, this explanation is Caroline-related, too. So sue us.
